Thumbs up Overhead Map Light/Mini-Console Kit (forum sale)

The Overhead Map Light/Mini-Console Kit.

The Kit is custom manufactured specifically for the FJ Cruiser and will fit
all 2007 and newer models. It requires no modifications to the headliner
and requires no special tools or skills to install. The Kit includes a molded
plastic Mini-Console, (2) bright individually switched Led Map Lights, and
all necessary components and installation instructions.

The Kit was developed "live" on this forum over a period of 6 months and
the full details of the Kit development are here:
Overhead Maplight Kit

A special thanks goes out to all forum members who helped with this project.
This is the second project I have done as a joint effort with the Forum and
hopefully these projects have been a lot of fun for all of us.

Kevin (aka Swiss)

Damn! Nice job man! I need to see if this will still fit with my rear view cam, but if it does, you can expect a order from me shortly!

Only way that'll fit with your cam is if you give it to me...it mounts right where it would go.

What's this I hear about a ScanGuage model?

Re: Overhead Map Light/Mini-Console Kit (forum sale)

I got mine today and I am very impressed! I asked for and received the ScanGauge model (closed end to be used as a mounting surface rather than open to store something like sun glasses). It is sturdy with a nice finish and will look right at home in the FJ. It came with the lights, wiring, and switches already professionally installed. As someone posted earlier, pictures don't do it justice! It was well packaged and the shipping was fast.
Thank you Kevin, you do great work!!!!

The "ScanGauge model" is basically the same molded housing except without the front cut-out. This will allow people to mount a ScanGauge, rear camera, etc. I have not actually mounted any of the above, but there are a number of people out there who will be shortly and we can all see the results.
