Regardless - the maps are ugly. The interface is cumbersome. No 3d view.

Eclipse

Kenwood

Seems like a no brainer.

Everything about the Eclipse is nice but the nav was a miss for me.

Re: DoubleDIN DVD/Nav/Stereo Compared

I should receive my Dual XDVDN8290 today. What I liked about it is that the Bluetooth and iPod interfaces are already incorporated into the unit.

Will try and get it installed by the end of the weekend, and will report back. Anyone installed one of these yet? Any installation insight will be greatly appreciated.

Re: DoubleDIN DVD/Nav/Stereo Compared

A little late to the party I guess, but I picked up the Kenwood DNX5120 a couple weeks ago.

I really like the unit, the menus (for audio setup) are a bit cumbersome, but once setup, you don't really need to go back in there.

I have it with Sirius, which works flawlessly.
The USB connection is nice, allows you to play WMA/MP3 from a simple flash drive with ID3 tag support (including album art).
Compatible with the steering wheel controls with the PAC SWI-JACK.

Uses the Garmin nav interface, which is VERY easy to program and use. The rerouting time on the Garmin seems nice and short too.

The DNX5120 can be picked up for around $630 if you look hard enough (amazon.com is where I got it).
