Way to go Bandi. I'm glad the name stayed the "Bandi Mount". You deserve all the credit. Kudos. It will just be a matter of time before the "BigBill CB Install" using the "Bandi Mount" gets its award.

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?
Did you cut a new hole in the body? Looks clean, but would scare the crap out of me!

Yes. The grommet came from McMaster-Carr. If you make the hole big enough you can push the coax cable end right through. (one-inch in this case for the connector and grommet to fit right). The firestik is a four foot, reception is perfect. Just don't ground the CB inside anywhere under the dash - you'll pick up a lot of little static.

I like the way that looks with the grommet...any water leakage? Where did you route the coax from there? Could you have used a smaller diameter hole and really stretched the grommet over the coax cable end so that the end result would be a tighter seal around the cable when fully installed?
I think it would be nice to see a picture of the grommet straight on or even a pic with the hole without the grommet in place...I don't want to creat more work for you after your pretty install, but if you have those pictures maybe you could post them...
Thanks again to Bandi and another Congrats on his newly re-found freedom. Now Bandi, maybe you can think up some other flawlessly simple yet gotta have it kinda mod of the FJ since you will have so much spare time!
