You can open the door all the way with that?
It is mounted to the door part of the upper hinge (the one that sticks out far), so when you open it, it is way clear of everything...

I will get a picture that shows the door fully opened when I get home from work... but there is plenty of clearence...

Re: New CB Antena Mount !!!

I want one of those antenna mounts you put together.

Your radio selection is excellent, I had that same radio in my old Jeep Grand Cherokee, they work great on the trail! I had a quick release antenna, just don't put the spring on the antenna, it whips around too much on the trails and hits the body.

Hey, on a serious note, you should talk to someone-I bet there's a fab guy here lurking that could mfr these things for you, powdercoat them black and/or paint them to match body colors like you're going to do, and you have a small little cash creator. Maybe we even have a patent attorney here. I think you did good wif dis.

Re: New CB Antena Mount !!!

I would want it in black to match the hinge, not yellow. It would look wierd in yellow.

Great idea though. If you didn't mind, I could probably get them produced if there's enough interest. I'd need one first to be able to look into it though.

Quoting myself, geeez!

See? I was right. Talk to LC - maybe he can produce them for you. Discount to FJForum guys. Get TRDSource to stock 'em - I bet Matt would do that and put them on his website so even non Forum guys can find, then get them.

But just be careful - we all know LostC won't make them - he's just using a very clever ploy to try & get a free one for himself....... I keed, I keed.

To further help, I could make it a little wider for your flag mount, you would just need to get me the dims on the flag mount holes... Do the screw together like the CBantennas ??
The flag I just got has a 1/2" bolt at the bottom. I think that is standard for these flags...

Re: New CB Antena Mount !!!

I would be very interested in one of these mounts in black, please add me to the list.

I will be adding an ARB bumper in the future, but I would like to run the antenna in the rear for awhile.

No FJC yet, waiting to see if it made the boat for last weekend or not.
