OEM Aux Light Harness Wire Polarity Question
Guys,
In prepping for the final wiring of my PIAA RF LED Fog Lamps (OEM Switch and OEM Aux (Light Engine) harness), using the "Fog/Lowbeam Only" schematic as found on page 2 this document,
Aux Lights Wiring
Figure 2's diagram (page 4) of the harness connector pinouts indicates that polarity of the white/Black wire (Pin 1) in the OEM Aux Light Harness connectors is a "Chassis Ground" and the Green/Red wire (Pin 2) is positive (B+). (Wha????) Is something is off here?
It seems to me that Figure 2's connector pinout for the 2 pin light harness connectors is in error based on the modifications green/red wire (pin 3 at cowling connector) being disconnected from in cab harness and re-routed to be grounded to the chassis.
Am I missing something?
