I'm runnin the Garmin GPS Map 478 and love it. Its water resitant, has water and street maps, and my favorite part is the real time XM weather. You can see storms ontop of you maps.
Garmin Nuvi 255 that I can move between vehicles. I also just picked up the Kenwood 5120 stereo with Garmin GPS which will be going into the FJ.
I also tried the Magellan Maestro 4250 a couple of weeks ago and it gave me such screwy directions to and from New Jersey and the place I had to work that I returned it immediately upon returning from the trip. Liked some of the features though.

Has anyone used the Magellan RoadMate 1412? Wally World will have them on sale this coming Black Friday weekend, for $147. You can download topo maps for it, too.
I just can't see paying $300 more for the Garmin Zumo I had my eyes on, particularly with the ability to use the Magellan for both the FJ (with topo maps) and the Harley for street trips. Although it's not waterproof, I'll have to deal with that deficiency for the Harley, somehow...
But, man, for $147? I'm having a hard time persuading myself to pass this up. Makes me sick that I paid a little over $700 for my old Garmin StreetPilot 2620 five years or so ago. GPS's are beginning to be commodity items, just like digital cameras are now...

Dennis, no comment on the Zumo vs. Magellan, but FYI I have a RAM mount on my handlebars (just left of the handlebar clamp cover) for my Nuvi 660 and it is relatively well protected by the fairing and windscreen. If it was just pouring rain in buckets I guess I would put a baggie over the top of it but it hasn't been a problem yet. If you want, I'll mount it and take a picture of it. The RAM mount works great and is adjustable.
