FJammer - Factory Amp?

Is there a seperate amp in the FJ's with all 9 speakers? Or is it part of the headunit?

Going to be installing a Pioneer AVH-P6800 (flat double din minus the NAV stuff) The stock CD changer will be making it's way to EBay.

Thanks!
J

Re: FJammer - Factory Amp?

News to me - where is the separate amp located? Are you saying the HU is a pre-amp because w/o amplification thats all it is. Which would mean the outboard amp is at least a 4-6 channel amp. The Sub has its own amp.

I'm pretty sure the HU is it's own amp for all of the speakers except the Sub...the sub has it's own.

It would be great if I had a clue, but let's face it, that's just not gonna happen.

The amplifier is built in to the radio. The sub amp is inside the sub enclosure. (Pages 236-239 of the electrical diagram)

Thank you! Exactly the information I needed. I am hoping the pioneer head unit will have enough power to sound decent (50x4) We will know soon enough
