Update for everyone reading this popular thread.

We have two versions of this iPhone car mount product, the original PED3-Auto typically for bare iPhone's and the PED3-Auto-FORM for iPhone & iPod touch in a case or skins. The holder is upgradable for those with the original PED3-Auto that want to now use a case or skin with it. This design is also interchangeable with ALL of our PED3 and NAJA King stand and holders.

Lastly, they are NOT $50 but $40 and $44 respectively and 100% quality made in the USA.

That PED3 is pretty cool. I use the one by Bracketron and really like it. It's very sturdy, holds your device tightly, adjusts for any type of device, rotates, has an easy release button. Can go in a perfect location in the FJ. Only downfall of having a mount on your vent is that it probably isn't safe to have the heat blow on the back of your device. In those situations, I remove my iPhone or just use the floor heating (which still kicks a little heat out of the upper vents). It's also interchangeable with other Bracketron mounts.
