You need to add diode, so that starter 1 doesn't backfeed. http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...rs-1304dp.html

This could help end a lot of this, I wrote this post awhile back for 07's but still do-able with a toyota bypass box
My installer told me that a bypass would be needed for the remote start to work on mine too. From what I understand, the bypass does away with your transponder key altogether. You either need a new key or the installer said that he could take apart my existing key and put a new cover on it (only so it wouldn't be so bulky).

99% of the connections will be inside the cab, inside the dash and lower side panels. Make sure you have a good light. I would suggest soldering any connections they made with crimps. Good hunting!

Yea Tincan is right, there is some feed back getting to that idiot light circuit. It is the second starter relay that you need to put in. I was troubleshooting two problems at the end of my install. The heater was not coming on and the idiot lights; so I troubleshot both, the blue/yellow wire and the second starter wire, at the same time. Everything worked right. So I stopped right then and there and hurried and solder everthing together and never looked back.

Not to throw more sh!t out there but, I followed compustars diagram for adding a secondary starter relay. Their system has a 2nd Starter 250mA (-) negative output that is connected to the relay. But I would guess this is the circuit Tincan is talking about

"You need to add diode, so that starter 1 doesn't backfeed. DIY FJ Remote Start RS-1304dp"

Just saying, check your prestige autostart install directions for this application, then you wire in the second starter relay accordingly and you should be set.

There is solution, I'm only a DIY'er. Hope you get cause it is sweeeeeeet when it's working right.
