Joe, you may be able to find something at a marine supply place, like West Marine or equivalent. The radios they sell are intended for the marine environment with high humidity and water so they may have something.
Thanks, I'll give them a try. Most Marine places sell UHF radios, which are better suited for open water, though. I was just hoping that someone knew of a particular brand that might be worthy.

I thought it might be topical to introduce some models that can withstand moisture, as it appears that some of us have tendencies to submerge our rigs occasionally...

If I find any worthy additions to Steve's list, I'll send them on to him for submission...

Great job Steve. You've gotten yourself in yet another deep one.

Thanks, Tony. Getting into "deep ones" is what I live for.

Does anyone know of a water-resistant (sealed control knobs, etc.) CB radio? I'm not talking about a hand-held, but a mobile rig.

Re: CB Radio Buyers / Comparison Guide

nice write up! I run the Cobra 18WXST. I like it because of the NOAA feature and it's a good all around radio.
I would HIGHLY recommend using a Wilson 4' flex antenna with any of the mount listed. I've used a LOT of antenna's and I have to say the Wilson is the best. Run the ground wire to the mounting bolt on the bandi mount and you'll be hollering at those truckers clear as day!
N-joy......

Thanks, nativejim.

Yep, a lot of folks give high marks to the Wilson antennas. I'm currently running a FireStik myself, but plan to give the Wilsons a try.
