auxilary plug...

anyone know how it connects to the radio? non FJammer system. did a search but didn't get much. i'm looking to split it but keep it all behind the dash and panels.

nothing?

nobody has taken it apart/moved/cut into the auxilary wire or port? anyone know if its hard wired into the headunit or if it plugs in to the back?

Are you trying to use it with an aftermarket head unit? Use the advanced search feature, I swear I remember there being a thread on this.

sticking with the stock head unit. i guess i could just go out and pull everything apart. takes all of five minutes. laziness though. i can't help it. ok on to the advanced search.

actually i'm wanting to split it but still leave the stock port where it is under the 12v plug.

you can buy a stereo plug and solder it to the stock auxiliary plug.
there is a thread on this. I will post it in a few minutes when i find it.

It is very easy to do and if done correctly, works very well.

aux input to aftermarket radio

i hightly suggest testing before you put everything back together.

I didnt solder the right channel as well as I should have the first go round and the sound was intermittent.
