My minor mods for Moab :D

First mod, after 5 trips to Radio Shack and Ace hardware I finally got the Cobra 75 WX ST installed!

Much thanks for BigBill25, Opg4759, and OlyWA for helping me out with running coax and placement tricks (and Bandi for the mount ).

Final placement:

If it works out well in this spot I will be drilling a hole through the trim piece instead of letting it hang through the fuse panel access (panel door wont close currently and connector too big to fit through the hole).

I have the CB powered directly to the battery by running the power through the door access and a small opening to the hood. Had to get extension wire as the wires that came with the CB were not long enough. Ran the coax the same way opg4759 did through the rear storage compartment...

Hooked up the SWR Meter and we are ready to go

Second mod was installing the DICE iPod integration unit. It worked for the one jaunt around the block and I haven't been able to get it to work since Here's what it looked like when working (favorite Boston song ):

I'm going to be reinstalling it from square one after I post this. I've updated my iPod software and tried this evening again, but still no head unit/steering wheel controls

Last mod:
I finally put my tags on! ok, not electical related, but I figured I didn't want a ticket in a different state

(dent is from backing into a tree stump when pulling a tree off the trail...so save the parking lot comments )

I thought that was the head up display for GPS
Great location for the CB. Be careful running wires behind the fuse box as there are a lot of sharp sheet metal edges behind the dash (I sliced my finger pretty deep when I was wiring up the fog lights).
