I would not dare to install it myself. I am taking the FJ to my shop as soon as I get everything from Nazar
I hear ya. I just want to do it myself kind of like a hobby sort of thing. Unlike doing my own lift kit or such, my life is not on the line if I mess up - only my hearing! Plus if something dies I know where to look.

Re: Subwoofers 101

I did find some stinger grounding mounts on Ebay. A couple local car shops said just drill a hole down with a 1/4-5/6" bolt and screw down the ground, but I wanted something a little nicer. Something that when fixed in place from below it is fixed and won't come loose when moving things around.

You mount via two points then a 4-guage ground wire is secured via a hex or torx? screw down - clean grounding point.

Re: Subwoofers 101

What do you guyzzzz think of the KICKER brand of subs, speakers and amps. I'm looking to add to my stock system 4 kicker 6" speakers on the rear door with a custom fiberglass enclosure aiming them up over the rear seat, 2 - 10" subs with custom fiberglass enclosures over the wheel wells, one each side, all powered by a 5 channel kicker amp. I will be leaving the FJ jammer head unit in place along with the stock front speakers. I like the stock look of the 6 disc unit. I also have xm satilite radio and radar weather forcasting via my Garmin 478 GPS, for navigating and Sirius satilite via their sportster gismo.
