Have you considered going with a second amp to power the sub? Maybe a Class D mono amp.
Yes, I would have no-where to put it. My Navi, TV Tuner and HD tuner are underneath the Pass seat. I do NOT want anything in my cargo area, as I frequently fold the seats flat and fill the area with junk.

I hear you on that one! I am going to have a hard time mounting my 2 amps because they are gigantic and will not fit under the seats. I am considering having them mounted in the roof over the cargo area. I do not want to give up my cargo area either but I want big sound.

My local Tweeter has 2 Audison AMPs on clearance, the LRx4300 and LRx1400 and they are only 7 inches wide, but 14.5 inches long. So two of them would probably not sit under the seat, but the interesting concept is to put them on the opposite side of the sub and stack them (first one mounted to the wheel well, the second one spaced 6 inches or so above that one on a tray of sorts. Could be kinda neat looking and would still be out of the way of MOST of the things I would throw in the back.

Well, I set aside an hour to fix the sub box 'buzzing' at high volume. It was me, of course. I had the rearest bolt not tight enough. It was a little scary tightening them down hard with the included washers because I was scared of breaking through the fiberglass. So - easy fix - I just got some washers about the size of a quarter with a 1/4" center for more surface area plus a hard rubber washer behing that, then tightened them down real tight.

All I can say now is I am 100% happy with the boom boom. No distortions, just clean blasting bass.

Silvertoy - If you can come up with a clean solution to as to put the amps on the left side - DO IT. If I could have done it all over again I would have. Putting amps, capacitors and the like under the seats is a real pain to do RIGHT (ie, not just screwing them down and tossing wires around). I do like everything hidden and I am pretty proud of what I have done as a rank AMATEUR, but it is really a pain.

Noisycow, I am going to get one 3 Farad capacitor rather than 2. How is that 3 Farad single working out? Any dimming of the lights when your subs are hitting hard or is it doing what it is supposed to?

Well, I originally had a 1 farad stinger but it sit up too tall to fit, so I went with this 3-farad model. I gave it the acid test - some *****Cat Dolls at full tilt and the lights stay steady. I know 3 farads is overkill for 800watts in amps, but it was just a fitment issue.

Now, I have to remember to pull the fuse to the amps if my battery ever gets drained or if I take it into a shop and there is a chance they disconnect the battery. (Pre-charging a cap, all new to me).

The 14th I think, but I'm sure he'll need a couple of days to get things rolling again.
