FJammer VS Base HU
Dont know if this has been addressed before, but the FJammer head unit is not any more powerful than the Base model head unit.
I've opened both of them, and the stereo is a 2 peice design, a CD mechanism and an amplifier/control board.
The amplifier/control board is the same base part number on both models and has the same comonents populated.
Therefore: Switching a base HU to an FJammer will not make your stereo any louder, just gives you a place to put your CDs.....oh...and it turns purple!!!
Technically.....you should be able to hook up a stock sub to the back of the base stereo as well....but havent tried this yet....
