ALmost all other mmanufacturers who have DRL have an option either in the programming or on the main light switch that lets you shut them off. Dam Toyota.........HAHAHAHA
Is there anyway just to get them stay off permanently (without still having the parking brake on)? Mine came with them even though I didn't want them and I don't really want an ON/OFF switch, I just want them off.
Remove the fuse... main engine compartment fuse block.
I asked before but did not get a response. When I unplugged the plug to disable my DRL's it made my instrument lights stay on and after a couple of days my battery started to die. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hmmm... no I have not had this issue. Did you get the right connector from this thread? I have had mine disconnected for almost 3 months and have not had an issue. I really like how the switch face is modified and I think I'll use that for mine.

Not damn Toyota, my 07 Camery has a DRL off switch, it is just a over sight on the FJ.

Suggestion (probably off-base, so donning flame-retardant undies):
If there's a fuse for DRL, then why not wire a switch between the poles of the fuse? There are inline fuse holders that could provide the fusing when power is supplied...

Logical idea though. I often wonder why there are several other controls on other yota cars and trucks that the FJ does not have. Guess they figure that we're resourceful!!
