Does this set up sound good.

This is what I am thinking of putting in the FJ

Clean sweep processor (to enhance the stock deck)
HX Diamond 3 way seperates 6", 4", tweeter.
6" Diamond Coxial for rear seat panels
1-PDX 4x150 (for seperates and coxial)
2-10W6v2's
1 PDX mono (for the subs)

Yeah, no, that doesn't sound good. Ship the gear to me, though, and I'll find SOME use for it.

Yeah, you are probably right. I was going to throw it all away, but I guess I could ship it up to you. HAHAHA

Re: Does this set up sound good.

HACCPGUY I would recommend a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 or a Audio control DQS over the JL cleansweep. Once you tune the cleansweep you must use the volume control that comes with the unit. If you change the volume on the head unit your setting are lost. We have had alot of luck with the 3sixty.2, 31 band eq for the fronts left and right, 27 bands for the rears left and right, 10 bands for the subs, 31 band for a aux in(sirius, ipod, xm, dvd) 31 band for a center channel(5.1 in the FJ). Here is a link www.rockfordfosgate.com By the way unit can be added to any factory and after market deck to enhance the sound performance.
This peice can even

Can you adjust the volume of the system from the stock deck when using the 3sixty.2 or audio control dqs. That would majorly suck if I could not use the stock volume control. I really want everything to stay completely stock locking except of course the subs and the tweeters. Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Does this set up sound good.

With either DQS or 3sixty you can use the volume control on the factory head unit. Another cool thing on the 3sixty is how it is tuned! If you own a palm pilot or treo phone with bluetooth you simply pair them up and follow some simple directions. It has very easy instructions on how to maximize sound out of your amps with out clipping your speakers.

I read that you can add your Ipod directly to the 3sixty in the aux. input. If I did this, would I still be able to add a seperate "bass level/SPL knob" to the unit. I really like to have that seperate volume control for the subs. I never like to turn them off, but it is nice to turn them down when needed. Thanks for the info. Sounds like the clean sweep may not be the way to go.
