Hey guys, I just wanted to give some props to JT and the guys at Al&Ed's Autosound in Huntington Beach California, aka fjcruiseraudio.com I stopped in today and picked up a Alpine head unit with iPod intergration (no more wire dangling from the AUX in jack) some Eclipse 6x9s for the door, an Alpine 4 channel amp, and the line-x sprayed custom woofer box with a 10 inch JL W1 in it. I always have a hard time letting someone else work on my car since I've been installing car audio myself for about 10 years now but with the FJ I really didn't feel like spending a day crawling in and out running wires and hooking up speakers so I left it up to JT and the guys there. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the quality and attention to detail that they spent on my rig. Everything met or exceeded my extremely high standards for both the install and the quality of the fiberglass box. You have to see this thing to believe it, the quality of the fiberglass work is perfect, no seams and all smooth curves and the line-x finish is flawless, looks like a factory part. I got a chance to see the painted one up close too and the finish on that is just as nice, looks exactly like factory paint from Toyota. On top of it all, JT hooked it up with a very good deal. If anyone is thinking about a sub box, definitly consider the fjcruiseraudio.com ones, they are awesome. If you're lucky enough to live in Southern California, do yourself the favor and stop in to their shop and meet the guys personally, you won't regret it. I had them install a 2-way paging Clifford alarm about a month ago and it's been perfect. Top notch work for this shop. And I know, I sound like I work for them or something....I don't, I'm just a extremely satisfied customer who will definitly go back to JT when I need more for the FJ. And yes, I know this post is "worthless without pics" and that by the time I read this tomorrow they'll be 5 replies asking where the pics are...you'll get them soon, for now, I'm going to head out and enjoy my new sound system.
Yup, JT's got a good crew they definitely do some good work. I'm very happy with the install they've done on mine and it is also nice to goto a shop where the owner actually owns an FJ and knows what he's talking about.

I was there taking some pics of JT's Fj's (pics coming soon including leather interior and suede headliner), so I took some pics of SectionEht's Rig, here pics of the box. Because of the light they are a little bright, but you should get the idea.
I forgot to take pics of the 1 din radio , I know someone was asking about that, will try to get some of those up from another customer if I can.
All I can do is take notes from all of you on your ideas and installs, then when I get my FJ I'll have to talk to our local stereo shop (small town) to see if he can acually do any of this.
If he can't I'll have to make a road trip somewhere. I'm sure I won't be able to make it down to So. Cal. just for a stereo install.
Dude, you're going to need to stop posting pictures like that until you send me mine. It's like dangling a carrot in front of a horse. Or a mule, in my case.
We just got back from SEMA, we're on it, you'll get it real soon
