I hear ya. My listening day starts at 6:00am clear through 10:00 pm. You are going to love how the S50 will buffer up your favorite channels and how you can cherry pick your favorite songs. .....
I have had the unit record a block of a station and I have gone back and recorded the songs I liked. Do you leave yours on the dock and it records for you, or does it record while you are driving and listening to that station. I am just a little confused on when it records for you.

We need both companies. At the end of the day, competition is good for everyone. It is all in good fun.
I love my XM! But I am sure the Sirius folks love theirs too! Whatever bottom line is I happily pay for my subscription to not have to listen to wacky morning DJ's and not to mention all those commercials!

The S50 will automaticly start to buffer content from a music channel after about 10 mins or so. It will only buffer a max of three at a time but you must be tuned into that channel to do so. You can clear the channels out from content management in the settings panel. It will only buffer content while docked. It will buffer content while docked and listening to recorded content provided that you are tuned into a channel that is picked as one of the three channels or has not re4ached the three channel limit.
