We bought a sun fusion FJ, the color almost works as day time running lights, but I'm glad the car has them.
My motorcycle is yellow too,but I alway's run with the bright on during the day. I guess the red jacket and neon orange piant on the front of my helmet helps too. But there is always a hooray for me screw you ding dong out there to turn out in front of you.
I always drive with my lights on also, but as I mentioned on another thread, I hate to pull into a driveway late at night and have the lights shining in the house. I don't want to wake whoever the relative is of whoever I am dropping off. So, I just like to have the option is all. But like you, Wrigman, I want to be seen.
"hurray for me screw you ding dong?" LOL That's awesome. Can I borrow it?

Here's the full procedure, with numbers this time...
Drive to where you want and stop the FJ
Put it in Park (for AT equipped FJs) or Neutral (for MT equipped FJs)
Engage parking brake
Turn off FJ
Turn on FJ
Your DRLs are now off
I guarantee this works... If it doesn't, strip me of my post count...

Ok, I believe you because you're you, but that still would not help me to turn them off while pulling into someone's driveway or driving in stealth mode at all. It would help with the grocery store thing, though.
