I haven't seen a post detailing the wire routing for a backup camera install. Some members have described it but I haven't seen any with pictures. So here is my attempt to give back to the forum which has been so helpful to me.
First I had a friend with a welding shop fabricate a mounting bracket to weld to the trailer hitch. He claims it took him an hour to do this and I really like the way it came out.
Route the wires from the bracket to the back side of the bumper. Route the wires along the bumper to the trailer hitch wiring then toward the drivers side and up through a slot near the rear door hinge.
Remove the jack, then reach in and squeeze the 2 tabs to release the plastic grommit between the rear panel and the inside of the jack compartment. Pull out the rubber boot and grommit. Pull the rubber boot off of the edge of the grommit so the camera wire can be inserted. Feed the wire through the grommit and into the jack compartment. Pull all the wire through and secure with cable ties. Be certain there is some stress relief in the wires to allow some flexing or movement between any points the wire is secured. I installed a rubber wire channel provided with the camera along the rear panel to hold the wire securely against the rear panel. Reinstall the grommit.
Using a straightened coat hanger I pushed the wire along the wheel well and out behind the rear seat. The platic trim doesn't sit flat against the floor back there since the hanger went right through with no resistance. Route the wire to the door sills. I used another rubber wire channel along the wheel well to keep the wire secure back there. Along the side of the truck I simply pushed the wire under the trim. In the jack compartment be sure the wire will not interfere with removing the jack or tools in there.
Remove the door sills by pulling up on the plastic they are held on with clips. Route the wire through the wire chanels already there to the drivers side kick panel. Remove the foot pad, again by pulling up then pull the kick panel loose to expose the wiring behind. I secured the camera wire to the alarm wiring back there and even cleaned that up a bit. Route the wire along the fuse panel and up towards the top of the dash. Secure the wire with cable ties.
Pull away the silver trim panel holding the air conditioner vent, again it simply pulls out. Remove the 2 screws in the drivers side glove box. Pull this box out by lifting from the rear. It may be very hard to reove at first (mine was) reach in under the speaker and push up on the back of the box while also lifting from above it will come out. Continue routing the camera wire along the other wiring around the dash over to the radio opening.
The completed job with a clear view behind and the camera well protected from the bracket. I had to carve out some material on the silver trim piece for the bracket and need to get some touch up paint for the edges.
Thats it, really easy to do and done in less than 2 hours. Good Luck and thanks to all who have taken the time to post instructional threads in the past.

The camera is trhe eclipse camera model BEC-105. I believe they sell for around $200.00 which is a bit much. I got it for free when I bought the head unit. Hopefully you can negotiate a deal like that. I dont know if you can buy a different camera and splice it in.
The Eclipse has a menu item where you can turn the camera on manually. My kids love it, especially on winding roads! It looks like a scene out of "Ronin" or "Bullitt".
