Dealer Install of XM Radio in June Build FJC

So, will I have any trouble if I truck on over to my friendly dealer and have it install the Toyota XM Receiver in my June build FJC with the Upgrade Package 2 (FJammer with Subwoofer)?

Will it sound good? Will I have to have the head unit replaced?

they fised the problems with the factory xm. You could find cheaper alternatives though that should intigrate with the factory unit. Check online.

Re: Dealer Install of XM Radio in June Build FJC

I have a June build FJ and I have waited for the new XM tuners to become available.

I installed the XM tuner and the fit kit. I had an XM Roady XT plugged into the Aux connection, but I wanted the factory installed unit just to clean up the interior of wires and the XT unit.

Well, I am disappointed in the sound quality of the factory XM. Its sounds like someone put a blanket over each speaker, the mid range is horrible, the bass is weak and the treble is flat, not clear.

I will be going to the dealer tomorrow to find out if the head unit is the problem.

What exactly are other people experiencing and what if any TSB is out on this issue?

Thanks

Dave

Get SIRIUS....the only way to fix XM's sound quality problem.
