Fog light switch inquiry

I want to use the tacoma fog light switch with either high or low beam. Is this possible? or do i need a three position switch?

And

If i hook the fog lights directly to the battery - will the illumination in the switch stay on at all times.

Happy New Year

Re: Fog light switch inquiry

I have the switch you talk about running my offroad lights. I would PM TCao for the wire diagram he sent me.(I didn't keep it otherwise I would send it to you.) I have them connected to the battery. The wire that has the switched circut is the one going to the battery. If you hook the other wire to the battery, then the switch light will stay on all the time. So will the lights.
Hope this helps, once agian PM TCao he has the diagram. (plus he's a cool guy that likes to help!)

Re: Fog light switch inquiry

Just did mine this past week and used the Taco Fog light switch. Works perfectly except one of the switches, the illumination light doesn't work so I'll have to exchange it. Pretty simple install thanks to TCao diagram. I still have it if you need it. Just PM me.

Basically, looking at the switch with the lock tab to the right, from the top, PIN#1 and 3, hook this wire up to your marker light. PIN#2 hooks up to the 12v source from the relay, and PIN#4 is ground. That's it. Pretty straight forward. You'll just need to shave off the rails off of the side of the switch and it'll slide in like a NY hooker!

Re: Fog light switch inquiry

Do a search for fog light switch. There's plenty of discussion about the Taco switch.
