Now that the Sirius upgrade for the FJammer is out there (Not the additional add on unit, but the tuner that uses the stock FJammer head unit), is there anyone out there that has used it and has an opinion? I like the idea of this because I dont want to add additional stuff, and keep the dash looking stock. I saw the unit being priced on ebay for 270 bucks, for both the tuner and the kit. Sounds like a fair price.
Anyone got an opinion on this?

Did the new Sirius Faceplate upgrade when it came out in November. Works great. Love Stern, the music and jokes.
No problems once it got installed. Great Sound! Toyota sent out the kits, but no directions. Kits went out in November, install directions not available until December. That SUCKED!
My friends at the Forum found and sent install directions that I gave to my Toyota dealer.
Check with Matt at TRDSource, a forum member. Great guy and he may still give 5% discount to Forum members.
I just last night installed the Toyota Sirius unit. I love it.Sounds great. No problems with my head unit. Took about 2 hrs for total install. The only downside is the text does not scroll. You have 3 bands for a total of 18 pre-set channells. I downloaded the TIS directions from this board somewhere.

Consider selling Fjammer (I sold two - $200 & $250 ea) and buying sony, kenwood, alpine or pionneer for $200. Sirius unit is $100...same as others bought portable unit. If you grab from crutchfield, they'll through in a single din fit kit and wire harnesses for free. In the end, will cost you the same as you are spending now. If you can sell the fjammer for $250, you've actually got $50 extra...enough for the ipod attachment
The benefit is a truly better stereo than the fjammer (better amp, much better flexibility/adjustability) and you get to hide all the cords. No offense to anyone, but all those cords are unsightly, and you might need your cigarette lighter for something else (articulating map light, cell phone, etc). And reception will always be better up on the roof (the antennea install up there is super easy - do search on forums, someone did it and took pics...runs in the rubber channel next to the windshield, totally hidden).
I got the factory Sirius module installed a week or so ago after much agita with my dealer.
The install is nice and clean. As another member noted, the text does not scroll which, in my opinion, is inexcusable at this cost.
Regardless, I, too, like the clean look. Am not planning on replacing my FJammer as my ears and hearing have been impaired since doing stupid things in college.
At the end of the day, it works as advertised...I really like the fact that I no longer have cords hanging down as I did with my Sportster.
Yes, there are definitely better head units out there but, if you want to stay stock, this module works pretty much as advertised.
