where did you put your horn?

ive been seriously considering a train horn from hornblasters.com, preferably this one. but, i cant imagine where id mount it, maybe right behind the front bumper. but, it seems there might not be enough room because they look pretty big.

so if you have pics of any similar horn kits installed, or any ideas on where to mount them, throw'em at me.

p.s. i wont mount on the roof though.. only if i had an air damn.

Re: where did you put your horn?

The tank looks large maybe under the cargo area in front of the rear bumper and the horn overthe front passenger wheel. Just a thougt. I really do not know the size of each unit.

Re: where did you put your horn?

Sent a PM. Search on board air for tank mounting locations, and you can only really fit the horns that are separate (15"x12"x19" to big under hood or hand to low under rear cargo area)
Hornblasters is a great place to get a complete set up im sure, however they only take paypal and I have found cheaper places for the same “parts” (horns, air system etc.)

Re: where did you put your horn?

I mounted a train horn (3 horn model) in the right front corner of the engine compartment pointing down. The Viair 450C compressor is on the pass side wheelwell, and the Kilby 3gal airtank is in the rear All Pro bumper just above the hitch.

Re: where did you put your horn?

thanks for the help guys. i like how rockcrawler setup his, simple and not seen at all.

but im going to look into mounting the compressor and tank aong the frame rails (i wont have sliders anytime soon). this is how my dad has his sytem mounted on his ram. but there is alot more room and clearence.

but im still undecided, and ive found a new site ( AUTOMOTIVE HORNS & ACCESSORIES PRODUCTS BY WOLO MFG. ) some of the stuff looks cheap, and some of it looks quality. so ill have to figure out what i want this weak.

Re: where did you put your horn?

Another place good prices

If you are looking for a rebuilt "real" horn K3-K5 etc..

They also sell the wolo stuff (wolos site the prices are out of control) much cheaper
