Undecided: Horn help please

Found this link while looking to upgrade the horn in the FJ.

Some of these are freakin hilarious:
Air Horn Sound File

Seriously though.. Can't decide between the PIAA and the Hella but I am considering the Stebel Compact Air Horn:
Link: Amazon.com: Stebel Compact Air Horn: Automotive

Has anyone implemented this one yet? WAV files are so hard to hear the real thing..

Stebel is 139db,12V, 530 & 680 Dual tone
Bad Boy is 118db,12V, 530 & 680 Dual tone
Hella is 118db,12V, 500 & 600 Dual tone
PIAA is 115db,12V, 500 & 600 Dual tone

Opinions, I want a horn that is louder with more bass to it without having to install a train horn(although if I had to, I would install the fire engine horn)?

Re: Undecided: Horn help please

I have the Bad Boy mounted up front where the Toy horn was located, and the Toy horn up on the fender in the option location. Plenty loud enough to get attention but not obnoxious. It produces an interesting sound combo blending the blast of the air horn with the meep-meep of the Toy horn. Don't know much about the Stebel, but the BB is cheap and available at Harbor Freight..sometimes on sale. Go for what makes you happy.

Re: Undecided: Horn help please

Thanks for the info. I don't know why this is a hard decision for me. How much these are compared to all things I guess I could try out a couple and go with the one I like best.

Sarge,

I bought that Stebel horn in your previous post. It took about 15 min to install and is loud. Sounds very European.

Same exact setup and location I have. It works great even if a bit Euro sounding. It definitely gets people's attention. Don't forget to upgrade the fuse to 15amp though. A light tap on the horn engages just the meep-meep part of the horn system. Keep your hand on it and the Bad Boy engages and will generally get the attention of all but the most deaf people.

I honked today at someone encroaching my lane and they that about p!$$ed themselves as it was right by their window. Even with the window up and at 70mph, they got the message and swerved hard right almost across 2 lanes. The price is right and the install quick, couple that with good performance and what more could you ask for? Ok...maybe a massive set of train horns but I am not that cruel.
