Re: Group Buy For Kenwood DNX-7100 ALL IN ONE NAV DVD 6.95" DOUBLE DIN SCREEN DNX7100

USB is just that....USB...I'm sure you can add all your songs on a memory stick and use that to play off of, but hopefully you can also use it for things like Ipod, computer, and updates. Usually the USB is for memory sticks, for easy song transfer.

What kind of Aux in does this unit have? Does it do VGA in by chance?

I know what a USB port is for, that's what I do for a living. What I was asking was what is HE using it for? What functions does the DNX7100 have with the USB port?
Thanks!

Could someone with one of these post pics of the different nav screens. I've look at eclipse and pioneer and they have some very cool split screen options ... does the 7100 offer that?

Thanks alot,
Shannon

That is what I answered. The USB is used for an external mempry stick to be plugged in, for easy transfer from the computer to your deck. On other decks, it also allows you to transfer images, video clips, and the like to the deck for things like screensavers and backgrounds.

If this USB serves any other purposes, I don't know of them. I imagine that;s all it does. The other Kenwood decks in their lineup for 07 also have USB....some of them. Normally it's only for using mem sticks, and pics. Nothing else.

If Kenwood was smart, they would have made it able to work as an interface for all devices that can supply USB. That remains unknown, unless someone with one can try and find out for us.
