Garmin or Lowrance GPS?

Which would you get?

or

read a few different reviews and they seem to favor the garmin alot more especially on amazon

I prefer the Garmin units and I'm sure you will get a vote for the Tom-Toms. A lot depends on the functions you expect from a GPS. I like portability so I would go with a Nuvi or handheld w/car kit.
