I think my compass is fried!
Was dinking around last night and set down a magnetic tipped screwdriver without thinking, did some work and put stuff away. This morning as I drove to work I noticed the compass isn't moving off of NorthEast.
Did I permanently fry it or can I fix it?

Only look at it when you are driving northeast...........
J/K...that sucks. Did you try recalibrating it?

I haven't yet as I don't have a parking lot big enough to do the turning thing (counterclockwise, right?) closeby.
*sigh*
What a boneheaded move. It didn't even occur to me.

Recalibrating it should fix it. If no space, then just wait until later at night.

Driving around the block didn't work for me...
We did the parking lot route. Knowing me, I was probably doing something wrong the first time.
I would think that recalibrating it would work, but if it's fried...just head to your friendly Toyota dealer.

Ah, Boulder Creek. Used to live there and Scotts Valley.
Miss those fun mountain roads up Highway 9!
Thanks for the info.
