I've not used this inverter for powering a blender, but I can tell you from experience that the better bar blenders take more wattage than 400. Mine takes over 1200. I can not run mine on a 600 watt Honda generator and it pulls my 1500 watt generator down heavily. I found a used Osterizer that runs easily on the 1500 and barely on the 600 watt generator. Check your blender for a wattage rating if you want to know before giving it a go. I know that there are "travel" type blenders that have lower power requirements, but the one that I tried was more of drink massager than a blender.
And then there's the gas operated blender for more serious margarita efforts.

I use mine all the time, I ran a gray colored power strip from the rear to the front under the passenger seat, It blends in very well. I have a "Ram Mount" for laptop's installed, I use the power strip to power up and run my laptop. I use M.S. Street's & Trips GPS when I'm traveling or working. No more need for power inverters anymore.

Mine powers a good sized air compressor. Great for doing all kinds of work. I was afraid the compressors initial spike when kickin' in would trip a breaker (or is it a fu&$in' fuse??) but it worx great.
Haven't tried anything else, but I'd run a UPS if I was going to run computers...a good one, that regulates voltage.

Re: 400w Power Inverter
I used mine for a coffee maker and rice cooker. Rice, no problem. Coffee maker works, but you have to cycle the on off a few times to get to temp. Drip coffee maker BTW. Brews fine, just need to cycle for the sake of the warmer plate. Perculator coffee maker no way, too much juice.
I have also used it to power a leaf blower (I am too lazy to chamois the whole thing), a shop vac, and my air compressor. And in the TMI department, wifes breast pump

When I read this my eyes darted over to your location to see where you were from...My lady still thinks I am nuts because of how much rice I make everytime and that I use the finger knuckle instead of a cup to measure the water.
