New stealthy subwoofer enclosure from FJCruiseraudio.com
We are introducing a few new products, here is one of the first.
It's a small box designed to go in the factory location, but much more understated and stealthy, to look very "factory" or at least close to it.
It does not protrude above the window, and is finished to match the interior with line-x. Designed for an 8" sub (box is ported so the output is pretty good)
We will have a new finish shortly and also our dual 8"-12" boxes.
This box is $199.99 unloaded, and $279.99 with a w1 sub. Add a 150-200watt amp and you are good to go. So a sub $500 total package for some nice bass.
What do you guys think?

Why won't somebody come out with a box for each side. Put a 10 in it, make it a band pass enclousre or even better yet, horn loaded for max efficenty. Wrap it in black leather to complement the seats. Have it with an entergrated amp/cross-over network built in. Pre EQ'ed to the box and speaker. And some screw lug terminals for the power and remote (sync) wires, and a single recessed RCA jack. The amp could be 200 Watts RMS at 4ohms with varible frequency roll off points and varible gain control to match level of other speakers. Thats just me, thats what I would do. But since I can't, I guess it will never happen. Quite frankly bumping my car stereo was cool back in 1985 when I was in High School. Today when some punk is sitting next to me at a stop light playing his gansta rap in his 30"s, I just wanna shoot him dead and then power off his radio out of respect for the dead and the others around me that were subjected to listing to something that is not even considered music.
Peace!

Very nicely done!
Great fit on the rear of the enclosure, notice the even gap (yellow circle). I would prefer to see the angle of the shelf continued on the forward edge, to maintain a similar even gap with the seat (my yellow line is a little off, but you get my drift).
Re: New stealthy subwoofer enclosure from FJCruiseraudio.com
The reason you have to have that gap is because of the port, if you make it flush, the port would not be able to "breathe" we are working on a single and dual 8" box that would be sealed that would mount flush. I'll post a pic with a finish that would allow for a little tighter fitment. The Line-x creates a little bit more of a spacial variable.

Thanks JT for hooking me up. This looks like my FJ? Great job by your crew. It was on time as promised, and the amp box looks fantastic (you should show this too). My wife drives a Lexus and she is completely jealous of my new FJ setup! Thanks again for everything, GREAT JOB!!!! It is just what I wanted, and I still can't believe how user friendly the D3 is.

Looks good, But 8's are just not enough. I think most boxes should be designed for 10's at the least, 12's in most cases.
Otherwise, I think it's a good design, looks great, nice finish, excellent price! I think many will be happy with this setup, especially for the price factor!
One thing, the box seems rather large, would there be a way to mount an amp on it?
