Magellan Roadmate 360

Hey Everybody - I'm looking for a reasonably priced GPS unit and stumbled across a London Drugs flyer that has the Magellan Roadmate 360 for $199 CAD and it's reg. $350. From the little research I've done this seems like a good price and I'm thinking about picking this unit up. Anybody have experience with it?? I don't need top of the line, just something I can use to explore northern BC this summer.

I figure if Jim Rome promos Magellan they can't be that bad right???

Re: Magellan Roadmate 360

We used to sell it, unit is about 2 years old.
If you can get over the fact that you have to upload mats via pc, and if you travel long distances you will have to upload maps continually you'll be fine.

Re: Magellan Roadmate 360

See if you can find an old or refurb roadmate 700.
It was the 360's big brother, whole country on it.

Re: Magellan Roadmate 360

Extremely happy with the TomTom, after a week with it I can't really find any faults, super quick on all functions, vioce commands are clear and right on the money and now that it's hard wired in it's perfect, If you buiy one I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

I made this visor for it, it's a bit less noticeable if your looking in the vehicle from the outside. My buddy Eric had a great visor idea as well, pick up a 3 ring binder at any stationary store, you'll want the thin black plastic/vinal type, make a templet, cut a piece, sticky back Velcro and your done, you can add a small rubber grommet the size of the power button, this allows you to power on/off without removine the visor. I can post detailed pics on request.
