scangaugeII addition

Wanted a new toy, so got the ScanGaugeII. Followed someone else's lead, but didn't like the location, so moved it. Location one...

Wanted it within reach of the right hand and in clear view.

Ran the cable under the dash up through the top.

Had to notch the facia, but who's gonna notice??

Not thrilled about the velcro mounting, but popped the case and not much to work with, stabel enough for now with the cable taped to the dash for some tension.

Ya, I like that second location too. Still trying to figure out where the final resting spot for mine is going to be.

Re: scangaugeII addition

funny how they have a back/right side connections but not the left.
would've been real clean for where you have it.

Re: scangaugeII addition

I just ordered mine and can't wait to get it. This will be a problem trying to decide where to mount it. If needed I am sure you can have the cable output on either side with a little mod.

Re: scangaugeII addition

I mounted my Scangauge II in the upper left part of the driver's dash by the window. I removed the the driver's glove box and the cover on the vehicle id number - feed the cable from down below up through the bottom of the driver's box and feed it up through the upper left part of the dash board. I removed the dash speaker cover and the speaker for easy in stall. Extremely clean install no visible wires and easy to read from the driver's postion, while driving.
