YO! i just bought a new FJ Cruiser and was thinking the stock sound system is ..Thinking bout upgrading my sound system. I need some idea, so please post your sound system setup.
DUH! sorry, i was trying to find idea on where i should mount my power cap, and (1) JL 500/w mono AMP, and (1) PPI 4 channel AMP, i just wanted a clean look as possible without going with the custom route.
I have the following:
stock deck (Not FJAMMER)
JL Audio Clean Sweep
MB Quart RCE 210 4 inch component mounted coaxial in dash
MB Quart RCE 164 6 1/2 inch Mid Bass Woofer mounter in the Front Doors
These combined are in a 3 way cross over for front fade
MB Quart RCE213 5 1/4 inch component mounted coaxial in the passenger cutout
Polk Audio c400.4
Next steps
either Nakamichi MB-VI or Avic-D3
single MB Quart DWG 254 or Polk Audio db Series db804DVC
I am probably in the minority, but, I like the FJammer sound system. I must just be too old to appreciate the finer things in music.
Maybe its because I'm not much of a Boom, Boom ...........Boom Boom fan
Believe it or not, I went with my set up for clarity. It's just missing that extra umph on the low end. It may sound costly but it really wasn't. The sound is night and day, actually unreal. Once the deck is replaced it will be even better.
eclipse avn6610 with ipc-106, kicker compVR 12inch, kick sx450.2
you could barely see the amp, but its behind all the crap.
