Re: connecting powered sub

Harness is there for the factory sub - need to get the sub (which includes the amp), the Subwoofer switch for the dash, and the correct body panels. I recommend looking on e-bay for someone selling the sub and agree to swap body panels and the switch for the plate in yours.

As you can see by the many sub posts on the forum- you will be better off having an after market sub and amp installed. I was able to use the power plug in the rear for fan power for my amp box and trigger power for my amps.

Re: connecting powered sub

Yes. I have a powered 10" bazooka. It gives plenty of cabin filling bass.

Use this link to understand the pin configuration of the factory harness. You can easily extend the wiring and connect it to the bazooka wherever you plan to have it placed. I made an extension of about 6' so I could place the sub in various places.

Did you mount the tube, or just set it in the back where ever? Pics?

Re: connecting powered sub

I did not want to mount the tube as I prefer it to be removable at any point.

I just used the included straps and connected them to the tie downs on the back of the rear seats. It is strapped to the 60 side of the 60/40 split.

I was able to connect it without having the need to have the subwoofer switch installed. From my previous searches, it seemed that this was a requirement. If you need more info, let me know.

Re: connecting powered sub

My son gave me a Kenwood "WOOX" powered virtual subwoofer and installed it today. It's not the best sounding sub but a good unit to compensate the rear speakers.
