Use your fader - turn down/off the front and you should be able to hear the Sub. Your bass setting may also have an impact (assuming you have already messed with those). The sub SHOULD make a noticealbe difference, although not as great as expected.
BTW - I drove three different FJs before my order came in - I couldn't hear anything on two of them, but the third was distinctively more powerful. I never messed with the settings, so don't know why there was such a difference...not likely the music..it was from my IPOD. Take some music you like with you to the dealer and compare. It is always possible something isn't right. (I don't have one...ordered mine without for the space)
When I turn the subwoofer off or on I don't hear any discernable difference in bass.
Do I have some settings wrong or is the FJammer sub completely gutless??
Thanks.
IMHO it's pretty much gutless....but you will have to spend some pretty serious dough if you want a custom enclosure, amps and subs that do what they are designed to do....

WHAT? LOL, so you're saying the subwoofer makes a difference, just not for the driver? 99% of the time I'm the only one in the FJ, never had a back seat passenger.
Yep! It's designed for that ghetto style...you've just got to recline that drivers seat back as far as it will go...
