Exclamation relay for kc lights?

I need some help deciding between a light kit, one with relay and another w/o. W hats the relay for?

The relay keeps the current load off of the switch. Most switches can't handle the high current load of the lights. More or less the switch switches the relay which handles the high current load. How many watts total are you looking at for your lights?

Get the relays and save yourself some aggrevation later. Too much draw initially for most lights. Decent lights that is and most decent lights have relays. Just my two cents! I have four PIAA's on my lightbar and two more coming for the hoop on my bumper.
