Good looking solution to a common problem. Do the pods come with pre-cut tweeter spaces/access points and will you be selling a 6.5"/tweeter option?

Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

Interesting...I'm def. looking for some rear speakers larger than the 4" so that I can get a fuller sound, but I'm worried about speakers in that location getting all beat to hell. What's the sound quality difference between this location and putting the same in some custom pods in the very rear pillars?

I got a quote of $200 +/- and two days for some custom pod work on the rear pillars to fab something for some 5" rounds. The hole in the sheet metal in the very rear won't accept anything bigger than a 4" (unless we're talking about Toyota magnets and drivers.)

Forum members will get free shipping. I should have also mention these pods will be on our store website for $219.95 unfinished.

So forum members will automaticaly get $20 off $199.95 Total with shipping.

I would suggest getting them with speakers since most of you only have little 4" speakers. This would be a great time to get a real dealon rear speakers and get the pods of as low as $159.95.
Not *****in, just being sure. Can you do a set for component install of these? SR5250 Car Audio System from Polk Audio
Also are you able to do the paint option yet? Thanks for offering these, just what I was lookin for.

You will need to modify the pods to accept the 5.25' speakers. You may be better off getting the 6.5"

They will NOT come with the cutouts for tweeters, Since the size will vary alot by the tweeter type. Most Rear speakers set ups we use the Hi-End Coax/Components. Since the tweeter is so close to the mid you may as well use a Coax type hi-end reference speaker. The onlyreason we used seperates with the Focal is because back than Focal did not have a coax line in the K2 Power reference speakers lineup. And ofcourse it is easy to cut a whole for the tweeters.

I personaly don't like the sound all the way in the back, And you don't have any cavity back there. With this location you not only have better bass response, I should say MID-BASS is night and day from the rear speakers. But you also have a shorter distance to your ears. It takes away from the holeway effect. Not to mention you cannow do 6.5" instaed of 5".

For thoselooking for added idbass you can also run a Midbass driver only in the back as well.

As for getting beat up. You will have a grille over themso you should be OK. I would advise keeping the rear seat belts bucled when notin use so the belt buckle wont hit the grilles.

Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

Just ordered a set of the rear pods

Thanks
Nazar

I will be putting a component setup in them
6 1/2 " and a 3/4 or 1" tweet

It would be great if someone could make a Subwoofer box that is not a big as the current ones
Something for under the seat or something that does not protrude into the actual cargo area

Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

pretty cool piece, i would definitely rather have the rear speakers there than in the rear pillar location. And i know from past experience that you definitely DON'T want your sub BETWEEN the front and rear speakers, so this works mint when upgrading your sub like i did. I'll definitely be looking into these!

Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

Why am I getting a "Downloader" virus when trying to access the following link?

Wicked C.A.S.

I realize this is a low level risk virus, but I would rather not have a virus at all regardless of the threat level. The virus downloads other trojan horse components.

Would love to be able to view those rear speaker pods.
