Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

The link is for the pods without speakers. How can I order with the TR650-CXi Coaxials at the price you sent me in the PM?

Also, do you have installation instructions for these pods?

It is very easy.
You will need some cutting tools, Drill bit, Drill, and a Phillips bit (which you will anyways for speaker install)

When cutting holes be carefull not to cut anything behind factory panels, It is clear there but the hinge might interfere if you use a long cutting blade. Just measure twice before cutting. If you mess up a little our pods will cover it, However you want to make sure you do not cut more then you need so you can screw the panels in. If however you do you van use Heavy duty double sided tape. Let's hope you don't get to that point.

Place our Wicked CAS FJ REAR PODS on the panels so that they are sitting flush and comfortably in place.

Mark the opening for the whole.

Take the pods off the panels.

Cut out the marked (Circled) area.

Place the pods back on the panels.

Place the speaker and the grille assembly on the pods and on Factory panels.

Mark your screw holes.

Drille a pilot hole for the mounting screws. You will need to hold to FJ PODS in place for this so that they won't move on you. You can also use double sided tape on the back to make sure they don't move in this process.

I suggest using a speed clip from behind the panel HOWEVER NOT NECESSARY, You can do it without the speed clips. Using a speed clip may require the panels to be off thecar, But you can do ithis without the panels off the car. That is all up to you...

Screw the speakers in through the PODS and into the panels. I suggest doing this with a Screw driver. Using a drill may strip the mounting hole. Use a Screw driver and you get a better feel when it is tight enough.

Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

Hey Nazar,

What is the best way to remove the panels the pods go into? I want to dynamat behind them. Should I remove the back seats? Do I need to remove the rear seatbelts? I have the doorsill trim off. Thanks for your help.

Re: NEW WICKED CAS REAR SPEAKER PODS. Solution for rear speaker placement.

One more question - for my drivers side sub, should I cut a hole in the panel for the speaker wire or run it around to the back?

Thanks again

Dave
