CB Radio - Cobra 29 LTDSE

I just ordered this.

I am not a CB guy, I bought it for the summit and figure it may come in useful during off-roading..

Question IS: IS it a good one? I bought it, not for the crome (it will be mounted somewhere under the dash, cause this model you didn't have to do any mod's to it to get the blue lights and from my brief searching you can mod these models...

Nice CB, I have a Cobra too, you've got one with the SWR meter, Thats good for tuning your antenna. Now all you need is the Bandi Mount, and a 3' fire stick antenna

Re: CB Radio - Cobra 29 LTDSE

teejeaux, Thanks! It was 119.95 and I got it from GI JOE'S: CB RADIO - CB RADIO ANTENNA - SCANNER - CELLULAR

Found the shop off of CB Radio Forum.

Shadow: got the 3' fire stick (another 19.95) from them too! Yes I was about to get a bandi mount too. Yeah I am going to have to figure out the tuning stuff before the summit.

I've been looking at a lot of CB's. My friends say that getting a CB just makes me more redneck, but whatever. I think it would help on trail runs. I'm looking for something small, that has PA capabilities, and maybe a way to tie it into my speakers. I was thinking of mounting it on the back of the central console. That seems to be the most out of the way place. I don't want the hand held one, that just seems weird to me.

It only make you more redneck if you put it on channel 19.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Mods" to a CB. What can you mod?
