Yeah I hear ya on the clutter thing. For my purposes this is a very uncluttered, out of the way and functional setup. Notice there are no wires showing from the unit itself and the location it is in doesn't interupt knees for the passenger. What did you go with, you have pics of your install?

I appreciate all the photos on this subject. Congratulations on your install.

I have wondered about using the space behind the passenger vertical panel for an LCD or other computer/nav device. Did the installer of this GPS use a custom molding due to the depth of the device?

Reading one the recent comments, I saw the idea of just installing it at the FJJammer radio/cd location. This made me wonder if the factory radio could be incased and moved elsewhere and just use the steering wheel controls for the radio/cd functions. Then use the mounting area for GPS/touch screen/VHF/UHF two-ways. Has someone moved the factory radio and maintained the steering controls?
