spdt reversed I think. 1 from dround and one from e-brake to the switch and from the switch to the radio.

Re: Switches

I installed a rock, spot and back up switch\lights on my Rubi..I also used these switches- The first 2 leds died in 24 hours.THe third still works today( I did this 3 months ago) - SO I think they suck and told the manufacturer who never responded. They are installed correctly.
Yeah- the switch holes in the FJ are as noted above in the thread- you need to gently file the hole to get the switches to fit in- we installed a back up light on my buddies FJ with this. We tried the dealer to see if we could get a blank factory one without any luck...

Re: Switches

here is a reply i got from the company

hope this helps everyone out

Hi Chuck, Thank you for the email and of course recent purchase. To start with I apologize about the late reply we cut out early Friday to attend an event. All our records show that we sent the correct one but just sent the one back and we will get it swapped out for the correct one. As for the relay needing a blocking diode you should see one built in to the harness or should be depicted on the schematic on the side of the relay its there. Most quality relays will have like Bosch or REC etc... unfortunately not all relays included in aftermarket use them since the switch included in the kit could be using a incandescent bulb which conducts in both directions. You mentioned a radio shack diode. It can be used but you need a p# 1n003 or 1n004 and solder it across the relays coil in reverse... negative cathode side of diode on the positive side of the relays coil and the anode side solder to the negative side of the coil. If you need further assistance with it send me an email and let me know more descriptive how you are wiring it up etc...or what seems to be wrong.

To send the switch back just send it to the address below and include a copy of this email. Please send it priority mail with a delivery confirmation. Unfortunately we can not reimburse shipping greater than that since express shipping would cost almost the same as the entire order and would lose money instead of break even. I annotated in the computer to reflect a return. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Best Regards,
Jim Bullard
