Anybody have experience with Helix H400 Esprit 4 ch amp

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a very thin amp (height) to go under the passenger seat. Needs to be 2 inches or less so as not to interfere with the seat adjustment.
This one is 1.25 inches in height so it will work well. But I have never heard of it. Made in Germany. Anybody have any experience with this amp? Any other suggestions for a good quality four channel amp under the passenger seat. Thanks in advance for any input.

um imo i'd rather have the amp somewhere where water can get to i think the space under the seat is kind of limited and it would just be easier to mount it elsewhere

First, to the original question, I have never heard of that brand before either but I am impressed with it's small size. I, too, like fjcrazer had major concerns with the amp going underneath the seat. But I have had my Pioneer amp under the passenger seat for almost a year now with no problems.
As far as that amp you are looking at, where did you find it? Who are you buying it from? Price? Watts? Warranty?

Helix makes extremeley nice amps with excellent sound quality. They are incredibly expensive however. Get one if you can afford it.

I'm not worried about water under the seat. Worst driving condition my FJ will see is snow in my driveway as I drive it into the garage till the weather clears up. I'm primarily concerned with keeping everything looking stock which means hiding the amps. Under the driver's seat (which has more room) is the sub amp (zapco 500.1). That leaves under the passenger seat.

Found Helix searching on the internet for the lowest profile amp. It is 1.5 inches tall by 13 inches long. The zapco 360.4 is 1.95 inches tall by 18 inches long - which will interfere with the rear passenger's feet.

Price for the 4 channel Helix H400 is $600 retail, a little cheaper via the internet.

50 watts at 12 volts, 70 watts at 13.8 volts, THD = <.009% (don't I wish) and sig to noise > 100dB, warranty - doubtful (which is why I was hoping to hear from someone who is familar with it)

If you can suggest any other low profile amps that would be great.

Thanks Ron

Just get the Helix if it does what you want. It's a great amp.
