Garmin 60csx Question

Hello everyone. Recently I added US TOPO 2008 to my Garmin 60csx unit. I've been running city navigator as well. So now I have both sets of maps on my Handheld.

Ok, question time. How in bloody hell do I switch between the two? I want to use the city navigator to get to the trails and then switch over to the Topo set. Does the unit do it automatically? Do I have to do something special? I can't seem to get it to show in the city. Though here in VA. Beach .. it's VERY flat. Maybe it will only show when I get on fire roads or offroad with it?

Thank you for your help.

Dan

Re: Garmin 60csx Question

I have the 60csx as well but don't have the topo maps. I seem to recall reading someplace that if you have both topo and nav maps installed you can only see the nav maps. Have you tried going into Setup -> Map -> Information and deselecting the nav maps? This would be a PITA.... Might be easier to have a second memory card for the topos unless there is a way to do this.

Sorry, I'm probably not much help, just something I thought I read in some docs some time ago.

Re: Garmin 60csx Question

I also have a 60csx, to answer your question. Go to the map page press menu, go down to setup, press enter, select information, press menu, now you can select the map sets you want to use and turn off the others. Hope this will help, most Garmin units will let one turn off maps one does not want to use but some times it is hard to find the page to do this on. Good luck 60csx is great unit.
