Any of you folks have the Navigator software? How do you like it? Mine should be here anyday, along with Topo '08.
I upgraded to it before driving out to the FJSummit and was very surpised to see that it had nearly every trail in Moab as well as all the trails in Ouray in the software package. Apparently, it has a very comprehensive set of maps which have included county, state and federal roads, on or off road...

The navigator software is something you definatley need. However, the maps are updated once a year at this time of year. And they expect you to pay for new, updated maps every year. So make sure you're got the latest version before you open & install it.

Thanks for the heads up. How do I know I'm getting the latest copy of the Navigator software? The one I ordered was Navigator NT... I don't recall any year associated with it.

The topo program I ordered was the Topo 2008. I'm assuming that's the latest.

BTW, beautiful gallery!

Version 8 is what I have, which is current for 2007. So my bet is you're looking for version 9. You'll find the version # on the back of the CD case.

If you do happen to get vers 8, you can either send it back to Amazon or call Garmin and see if they'll upgrade you. Either way, don't open the shrink wrap on the CD case if it's vers 8.

And if you haven't already, get a least a 1GB micro-SD card since the tiny one that comes with the 60Csx won't hold more than a few states, depending on their size, and you need room for tracks too.

Re: Garmin 60csx with Ram mount - INSTALLED!

I use the ram mount with the 3.5" suction cup. It works great, and doesn't move at all. I have been putting it low on the windshield, so it basically sits just above my Toyota factory nav. Keeping them both within view.
