DNX 7100 dimmer control

Can the 7100 be connected to the interior light dimmer switch?
It tends to be too bright at night and I don't see a way to toggle the integrated dimming.
TIA

The Nav features dim between sunset and sunrise based on the GPS time, date, and location. If the DNX is hooked up properly (orange/white wire hooked to dimmer wire), it should dim in any other mode when the lights are turned on.

Thanks guys. I'll go back and check my wiring. I do get the nighttime mode switching but I would still like to be able to dim down to dark so I think I'll look into the dimmer control thing.

You will need go to map settings menu and check the auto setting to have the unit switch modes at dusk or dawn. You can also set it to stay in either mode (daylight or night).
