Re: Anyone removed the driver's side storage box?

cant get my p229 to fit. so I have to smash it between the driver seat and the center console. sits right down on the floor handle up barrel back and is pretty snug.

Why would a GPS need to be connected to the speed sensor. The GPS knows how fast it's going.
Some GPSs work in tunnels because they have accelerometers and speed sensors.

Nope, just tried a Colt Combat Commander, Series 80 - it doesn't fit either.
My P239 fits, sans holster, if I put it in a little on the diagnal. Barrel pointing toward passing traffic

Re: Anyone removed the driver's side storage box?

Obviously the Gat Box is not a good solution for CC. Any ideas for stowing a 45 Officers ACP? Door storage is too visible and not secure. Hate to cram it between drivers seat and console. Any ideas?

Find a way to secure it under the seat?

Re: Anyone removed the driver's side storage box?

Anyone remove this thing yet??? I really want to remove it. I was thinking about replacing it with a custom molded UMPC (small laptop) mount.
