Anyone removed the driver's side storage box?

I took out 2 screws, one on the front lip and one on the left but it won't budge. Anyone take this out yet? Suggestions?

The "glove box" in front of the driver where the factory GPS is going to go.

I talked to eclipse today about getting the speed pulse hooked up and they recomended tapping into a wire that feeds the speedo and is accessed under that box. I mentioned the wire that is by the ECU and the tech I spoke to said they tried that one but found better results with the one under the "map box".

Re: Anyone removed the driver's side storage box?

I stashed my toll transponder in there along with the typical stuff you'd normally hang off the visor like garage remote... seems like a nice stealthy spot, who'da thunk there was anything but an airbag in there?

Of course if I was installing an HUD for my rocket launcher that's where it would have to go. But I'm still saving ACME boxtops.

Granger,

Remove the two screws, then with the cover open gently lift from the back of the tray, then pull up on the front. A lip on the front of the tray holds it under the dash which is why you'll need to pull up from the back first.

I think I'm going to leave that alone since I'm used to a discreet compartment between the front seats that this vehicle does not have. I'll just put everything up there that I would normally put in that box.

I would think the S-Cal people would be calling that the gat box. You know, for quick access of the essential thunderstick tool for the drive-by's.
