installing aftermarket auto diming rear veiw mirror

has anyone installed a gentex rear view mirror? the i got is auto dimming,and has temperature and compass. thought this would work since i don't have the gauge cluster

You got yourself an awesome mirror. I wouldn't mind one, but with limo on all sides, there is no point for auto dimming.

I'm still looking at removing the rearview.....seldom use it, use the side mirrors 90% of the time.

don't you need power for auto dim mirrors? my other car's got one.. pretty cool, I suppose.. when people blind you from behind, it darkens.. don't have to worry about that with fj, but it dims when it's bright out as well. You prolly can extra power from the fuse box and run it throught the A pillar.
