New Security System Purchased

Hey all,

I just placed my order online for the "Galaxy 100RS FM" security system with remote start.

Galaxy 5100RS FM

It was $199.99 and when I called and asked, they said is simple installation on the FJ. You need this to bypass the remote starter, so it works:

Scytek BYPASSMODULE

So, I will post pictures and stuff when I recieve it this week

Re: New Security System Purchased

another thing you can do is mount a remote switch to turn on and off the fuel pump relay and no one short of a flatbed is going to steal your rig

Re: New Security System Purchased

I personally would have went with Python, Clifford or Viper. do not let anyone fool you these are the same alarm all made by DEI. Python is the cheapest. If that is too expensive then I would go with the Audiovox Prestige line about $150 on Ebay new

Re: New Security System Purchased

I am also interested in buying a security system.....was thinking about the VIPER 5900 or the Python equivalent......but yours seems to be full featured for much less $$.....even includes two remotes. The 5900 includes one,and it is not in color.

Please report back on ease of installation, features you selected, and overall satisfaction.

Thanks,

Reasons for the Viper would of course be that it is a DEI product...it's an alarm that works, there are plenty of other car alarms sold out there that fail after a month, or just aren't reliable.

Re: New Security System Purchased

Don't waste your money on the ignition immobilizer bypass module, the FJ doesn't have one to bypass.
